James R. Green, Jr.

James “Jim” R. Green, Jr., has lived in Pensacola, Florida since he was a child.  He received his A.A. degree at Pensacola Junior College - now Pensacola State College - before obtaining his undergraduate degree in Jazz Studies (guitar performance) in 2003. Then he earned his Juris Doctorate from Florida State University College of Law in 2007.

Jim has been a licensed Florida attorney since 2007 and his practice focuses on probate, guardianship, estate planning, and litigation. Jim regularly represents clients in estate litigation, trust litigation, and contested guardianships. He has tried several cases to a jury verdict in favor of his clients, and he has obtained favorable judgments for his clients in bench trials. Jim’s experience enables him to analyze a broad array of cases and provide his clients the advice and insight necessary to successfully navigate their legal disputes.

During law school at Florida State, Jim served as the Articles Editor for the Florida State Law Review, and he clerked for the central staff of the First District Court of Appeal. Jim also worked for professor Charles Ehrhardt to edit the 2007 edition of Florida Evidence, and professor Dan Markel as a research assistant. Jim received book awards (which means he got the highest grade in his class) in his evidence and advanced civil procedure courses.

Jim enjoys being able to give back to the Pensacola community that has given so much to him. During his time off, Jim has served on the boards for the Belmont Youth Band and Pensacola Community Music School. Jim currently serves on the board of the Pensacola Jazz Society as Vice President, and he frequently volunteers with the Pensacola Symphony Orchestra, where his wife, Julie, is on staff.
